Conference Dinner at Langelinie Pavillonen
15 September, 19.00-24.00
Enjoy three courses, great wines, and open bar at Langelinie Pavillonen designed by architect couple Eva and Niels Koppel, two of the most prominent postwar Danish architects. In the 1930’s and 40’s they spent some time working in other Nordic countries and were influenced by the architectural expressions of the time, among others by Alvar Aalto. In 1954 the couple won a competition arranged by the City of Copenhagen and the modernistic Pavillon was built in 1956-58.
Danish design has a special place in the Pavillon. Some of Denmark’s best architects and designers such as Poul Henningsen, Børge Mogensen og Verner Panton have worked with the building down to the smallest detail of interior decorating.
Langelinie Pavillon has a direct view to the sea and is located on a dam leading to the well preserved fortress Kastellet – and directly on the Langelinie boardwalk where the world known tourist attraction The Little Mermaid sits.
